I like it!
I was wondering if you could include a Format F and Format G option in unleash program...  that way Newbie's can't screw anything up (don't include Format C or E drive )
Regular version of unleash has it and in NEW Stock HD's F and G read 0 ... of course I used a program that formatted them... but ... it would be nice to have that option in unleash.
I like 1.4 better than 1.3 ... I liked the NEW options you included  in unleash... I think I will keep that dash... I had replaced it with xbmc when I was useing 1.3 version  ... but I like how you updated it in version 1.4!
Newbie's should be Kissing your  Ring ... how much easier can you make it for xbox LOVERS! wink.gif

is that a working xbox before you installed anything?
now that i installed version 1.4 i'm not sure it's x drive anymore ... I see in 1.4 after install in E drive he has folder called "stock C drive" ... but Blackwar says to save c,e,f drive in new installer... so do that... I have backup from 1.3 so I didn't ftp again... since epprom info is already there.

Can you explain what you did in the past with that xbox?

Was it stock C drive?

Did you try other installers?

If the regular install works... then load from dvd drive ...slayers 2.6 and 1st option in slayers is save epprom and it will backup epprom on c drive in backup folder.

It's hard to tell what you did ... maybe state in 1, 2,3 steps ... so some of us can figure out what you did wrong ?

you didn't use config magic in past did you?

ok. so here;'s what it says:

-a backup of the current eeprom contents was saved to: c:\eeprombackup.bin
-please press the a button to continue with the next step
-press the x button to quit

so i press the a button.

-ERROR!!!
------------
-C:\eeprom.bin could not be opened. please check and make sure this EEPROM image file exists and is valid!!
-EEPROMagic resores the XBOX EEPROMfrom the c:\eeprom.bin file. this file has to exist and should contain a valid eeprom image before the XBOX eeprom can be restored
-press the x button to quit.

it saves to eeprombackup.bin, yet it's trying to read the (i would imagine) original eeprom? or is it just trying to find the wrong file. maybe it should be looking for eeprombackup.bin instead?

-marky

oh and so i press x to quit and it tells me this:

-thank you for using EEPROMagic!
-press the x button to power down ur xbox
-=undead=-

and this is where the igr doesnt work for me

yea, i did read that part, but after it had been backed up, the options it gives me are to a=continue or x=exit [NOT SHUT DOWN] ... so that got me a bit fogged up.

also, i have tried doing the igr at this point before, but even that doesnt work. is there a possibility that igr is turned off? and where can i turn it back on?

BlackWar!
Good points you made.
I am useing stock hard drive and so I used stock hard drive install... but as you say ... you had big hard drive ... and used the big hard drive install so F is formated.

I did have to format my F drive useing another program  and I get 2 gig's more space... but I understand your reasoning ... do you suggest Big Hard Drive install for people who are using Stock Hard Drive and that  want the extra 2 gig's?  Is their a Downside to makeing a F drive on a Stock hard drive?  When I go back to MS Stock to play LIVE would that be a problem ...having F drive?  Up till now ...probably not ...but who knows?

you must have been one of the fortunite few that got an xbox with a 10 gig HD. Most xbox comes with an 8 gig HD, and all 8 are used by the xbox. That is why though that I ahve it set up to use E: for everything on a stock HD, not all stock HD's have that extra 2 gig to use, so to play it safe, I took the route I did.

as for playing xbl, as long as what the other senior members states is true, by uninstalling to play on live, and then using the re-install option *should* be completely safe. again, I am not going to make any garintees on this, because in theory your C: is back to 100% stock, so you should be safe, but some sellect few still seem to beleave that they scan your HD and if you have anything questionable installed (like an apps or games folder in E:), then you get banned.

Like it is stated in the readme, once you use an exploit on an xbox, you are taking the possable chance of being banned and assuming the risk of it. the only real true way to not be banned is to use a 100% vergin xbox.

perhaps someone can give me a hand here.

I did a hotswap & was trying to use xboxhda to move the files to my xbox hdd but every time I go to move the files, I get an error saying that one file cant be moved due to an invalid arguement.

I burned the file to the same disk as the xboxhda & now I have what looks like the default.xbe getting corrupted during the burn process & xboxhda shows the name of the file as default.xbe1rr
I have created the ISO and reburned it to different media
I used ulraISO to add the installer to the original ISO & used alcohol120% to burn the iso.
I have double checked that file on other computers & they all read the file correctly.

can someone give me a pointer as to what is going on here?

Right....its working now, had a quick play.

Well done all concerned.

Now how do enable the High definition modes on a PAL Xbox connected via component?

Enabled 480p, 720p and 1080i modes in the System menu but still only runs in either 480i or 576i on my LCD TV (which is HD ready). Am I missing a setting?

From what i've heard of this installer it looks great!  I don't have 007 or MA, so I eagerly await the SC version!  I have never softmodded before, but this will be the one I will use, because it looks easy and safe.
