You have to zip the two files before sending them to your mem card.  The first folder in each zip should be UDATA.  Inside each UDATA file, there is another file with loads of numbers.  You need to copy a datelinfo.xbx file from a downloaded savegame, into this numbered folder in each zip, so action replay can recognise the save properly.

If you've already done that, then make sure the two saves (splinter cell profile and the linux_installer) are copied to your xbox HD, and that it's the only splintercell profile on your xbox.  Also make sure you are using the original splintercell disc, and that it is not the platinum edition.

Ok thanks alot man, I am going to give that a shot. My Splinter Cell was bought back when it was first released, so it definitely not the platinum edition.

Is there any specific way I should put the datelinfo.xbx into the numbered file? And can it be from any game? I really do not want to mess this up...

EDIT: Ok, well I took a datelinfo.xbx file from a different save.. put it in each numbered files from Part 1 and Part 2.. then I zipped the numbered files and tried loading them into Action Replay but got an invalid file error.

Am I doing something wrong?

Just for the record, many people, myself included, have successfully used the Platinum Hits version to run exploits.

Look here and you'll find tutorials with everything you could ever need to know to get started.

Wat's uppppp.
In the tutorial that i have read, it says that u need to delete all former splinter cell games that u had on ur xbox hard drive.  then copy the gamesave to ur hard drive making sure it's the only save.  Then follow the rules normally when loading the gamesave from the game...........hope this helps.

I've been trying to get this to work for a few hours now.  First, after installing this AR software, it would not take the zip file I downloaded off the internet, saying invalid file type or something.   Now this file, splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc.zip, has within it the udata directory.  Within that are two more, 5553000c and 21585554.

In the 21585554/000000000000 folder, there are two more files than the 5553000c/000000000000 directory, called devz3ro and evox.ini.

I have been able to load it onto the card by deleting the 5553000c directory, but ti then shows up as linux installer on AR and the xbox (not Splinter Cell).  By deleting the 21585554 directory, I can upload it and it appears as LINUX_Profile on the list and Xbox, but has some wierd hypno symbol @ in the xbox.  Loading checkpoints gives me a black screen with "Your xbox requires service. Please call Xbox Customer Support" error in 6 languages.

I decided to try around.  Since the game-save is only valid with one of those folders, I tried combining the files from the 21XXXXXX directory to the 55XXXX directory, but that has resulted in no success.

I've gotten past my original problem that was that I couldn't transfer files to the card.   Now, though, my problem seems to be that I mess up the save file int eh process.  No tutorials inform me on how to do this, they all say "download the splinter_cell_exploit-ntsc.zip, file, get it to yourxbox..."  then go into details past that point.

Please, is anyone able to pinpoint my problem here?  Or should I buy MA or 007 and run those?  And yes, I use Splinter Cell non-platinum, bought it soon after it came out.
