well I move all files from my backup of c and renamed the xboxdash.xbe to default.xbe, and it hangs with the big X logo on start up

Jax the only reason I need the m$ dash is so I can set the my video to 480p and widescreen and to setup the wireless adapter I have, if there is a way around it, that would be great

Hold up a second.

If your box is truly softmodded, when your C:\ AND E:\ are hosed, your xbox will not boot, especially not an evox disc. That's the main difference between exploits and a chip. Sounds more like your box is tsop flashed.

Also, to link to your msdash, you need to hex your original xboxdash.xbe to look for f0nts rather than fonts, and place your original font files in c:\f0nts. Rename the original xboxdash.xbe to msdash.xbe and link to the new msdash.xbe in evox.

You've got an excellent point there anjilslaire.

xcellz -> if this is true, then you dont have a problem! Restore your C-partition with the original files, rename xboxdash to msdash and add evox to the mix (rename to xboxdash). Finally link to msdash in evox.ini, and you'll be laughning mate
