Why do you want to get rid of your xbox live? My advise is to use UXE for everything, u can still use live with UXE,and it works with all versions. Ive done a 1.0, 1.4, and a 1.6b(crystal) with it, all worked.

If Im right in thinkin your xbox is modded already why dont you just ftp and delete what you call "xblive shit" ?why bother doing the extra of burning off slayers etc etc??

you can use slayer's to format and reinstall the msdash just fine with softmods. Make sure to use slayer's 2.6 since it has a newer dash on it w2hich works on all xboxes.
