How To Flash An Aladdin2?
« on: December 25, 2004, 11:33:00 PM »

I'm wondering what app to use to flash an Aladdin2 chip. I just ordered it from divineo and they haven't been much help in telling me how to reflash. I think I have the right flash definition but I dont want to try it out of Evo-X... is there a better program... ie raincoat or xflash that will work?

thanks

Will it be a problem on a v1.6? The way I got the flash definition is through using the error message in Evo-X. Evox now recognizes the flash type but I think I need a sep. app to flash. Do you think that xflash will work for this? Is it ok to just launch xflash right out of Evo-x, will that still work? thanks

Yes the version could make it a problem. You may have to flash through evox. What bios comes on the chip?

It is one of the newer Evox bioses with the purple logo in the upper left corner. I would assume it is M8 or M8plus. These bioses are good I just really need to add IGR and the hard drive feature.
