got the games and emulators to show up....but now,  when I try to play a game, the intro loads but then the game itself freezes or doesn't load at all. One of the games loaded once, and it said invalid id or something? I copied these games from my computer hard drive, that was on my friends xbox. Could it be the xml file? the item and config files? The only game that is working is the game that I had originally loaded onto the system which was on the xboxhdm disc...which was soul calibur 2, all the other games won't load..  :(

i re-installed the soft mod, tried evo dash and unleash dash, still no luck. The only game that works is soul calibur 2....which was the game that was burned onto my xboxhdm boot disc! Anyoen got any ideas on what could be the problem? I don't think its the games, because they work on my friends xbox...he has a mod chip though...

Hey you guys forgot one big pro of softmodding:
Not all chips work on all xboxs while softmodding works on all xboxs.
I am a *former* chip guy, but I just softmodded my first xbox. I remember one time I bought a chip for 1.0 - 1.5 xboxs, and I had a 1.6. This was right when the 1.6s came out, and to make a long story short, I was screwed.
Softmodding has come so far, and I think my soldering iron is on the shelf for good now. Thanks Krayzie.

This is probably a total newb question, but i cant find the answer anywhere: can a softmodded xbox run back-up games written onto DVD-r's? if so how. and another question, how can i rearrange my hdd's partitions so that the E partition has more room. thanks in advance, i like how these forums dont have the verbal beatdowns that other ones (*ahem* chip forums) do.
