Thanks for your time

Found "HDD_Driver" Installed it and when I try to start it it complains of a missing "msfc *****.dll"  "Try re-installing"

I re-installed and have the same error.  Anyone get this?

you have to use yahoo search and download the dll files seperately. there about 4 of em you need. just download em and place them in the same folder as the exe. when you get one installed, run the app and it will let you know what the next one is.

IMPORTANT! use yahoo search, NOT GOOGLE! for some reason the ones you find from google are not correct, but the ones you find from yahoo are.

I downloaded the files but get a "ordinal 5038 could not be found" error!

Any Ideas?

Well I started with the 1.6's seagate hd.

Loaded the xboxhd with ude to iso and booted.  Did the hotswap but it says "ude not found"

As the linux is booting it displays "sometype of seek error"  It also says someplace "this is not a xbox"

I did the hotswap by unhooking the dvd and pulling the cable at the "goo" stage.

What am I doin' wrong?

Also if I type "xbrowser" in at the prompt it says "no xbox partition table found at dev/hda"

ok,  I redid the Iso. I used "uxe" could not find the ude 1.4 Zip

After haotswapping  Typing "uxe"  does nothing.  I can use xplorer.  so now do i just rename fonts to f0nts and the .xbe file to.bak and transfer the ones from the cd over to the c: partition?

please reply

Progress so Far:

I have managed to back up the hd using "Hdd_driver"

I don't have a copy of "ude 1.4.zip"  so I used "uxe"  can I just copy the c: drive from my linux to the c: drive of the xbox?

Or: rename the .xbe and fonts to *.bak files and transfer the ones from "uxe" to the proper folders on the xbox?

If someone could help me out here that would be great!  I'm gettin' itchy!
