uhh.gif   ...or perhaps  UXE would replace all that I had deleted...?
Anxiously awaiting a reply!  Thanks again!

You should have used UXE right off the bat.  With the installer, ya are done in less that 10 minutes.

Restore any backups you may have made, then do it.

Also, there is no default.xbe in the C folder.

Delete the Bert and Ernie xtfs.

But before I do that, please tell me how to use the "UberPatcher.exe" available here:
http://forums.xbox-s...dpost&p=1859639
I tried opening it in Windows, but "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)," so am I supposed to upload it somewhere (to which drive/folder?) and Launch>App from the EvoX screen?  ...is that how that works?
Sorry for asking so many questions, but I've been working hard for the past 3 days now to get this right.  Thank you very, very much to those who are trying to help!

if it is an .xbe file then it is meant to be used on the box, if it is .exe it is supposed to be used on the computer. If it's an .xbe then just put it on the E or F drive in the apps folder.

Well then, if I am to use the UXE, how do I use the patches on the UXE thread?
Patches link: http://hometown.aol....ro/s1994752.zip
UXE thread: http://forums.xbox-s...pic=281850&st=0
It's a .zip file that contains 5 other .zip files.  When I try to open any of those 5, a box pops up for a split second, then closes.  After clicking on it many times, I managed to make out a "can not use" in red letters...  Any other words of advise?
Thanks again to everyone!

It was in thingonaspring's post, http://forums.xbox-s...c=281850&st=150,
once again in the UXE thread... just having to go through each of the 20 pages.
I'll post again before long to let you know how it's going.
Wish me luck!

If this fails, I recommend getting the ltools package. Since, you know, it does everything automatically.

I've got the Itools package, and had messed around with a bit yesterday or so... I'll look into it again and see what I can do.
