If anyone else has screwed up their xbox by messing around with XBMP to the point where their box wouldn't boot up, this may help.
I have spent many a long hour sifting through so many posts in forums from many sites and have tried the enigma video switch (without success) mainly because like you I chose to soft mod my box instead of using a mod chip.
Nothing worked.
I then came across a post stating that the only way that you could reverse the block of coloured lines at the top of my xbox was to purchase a mod chip that could flash my bios to repair it.
Almost did it, then I tried in a last ditch effort to use XBOXHDM to try to rescue my poor box. I tried atleast a dozen ways to access my hide drive through the hotswap way without success, then I finally disconnected all hard drives in my computer, booted the XBOX
without the IDE cable attached to the CD Drive (very important), then booted my computer which took a helluva long time, then connected the ide to the xbox drive ( without disconnecting the power to the drive from the xbox) booted to the XBOXHDM CD in my computer chose option 1, then formatted the drive using option 1 again (each time typing
yes at the appropriate times.
After the drive finished its rebuild I crossed my fingers, hooked the drive back up to the xbox and powered it up.
IT WORKED!!!!I hope this helps all who have screwed up the systems using playing around in XBMP.
