Failed To Sign Habibi From Mini-linux On Xbox.
« on: November 07, 2004, 12:59:00 PM »

Hi,

I am trying to sign a homebrew app with habibi after running  mini-linux via ltools.

I have already installed UDE1 and PBL on my machine with the 007 and ltools exploit.

I have then tried to boot the mini-linux and sign an .xbe with "xbedump default.xbe -habibi"
The xbedump comes back saying that the original and the out.xbe have header failures.

I tried several things (looked for a new xbedump, tried to run a different verify on the xbe,
tried to run xbedump on the out.xbe that was created) with no success.

If I boot normally, and have PBL loaded, then I can start up the ltools mxm, and use my modified menu
to start the xbe.

If I boot from 007 and try to run it from the ltools game save, the .xbe brings up a blank screen....
There is no error message on the screen, no change in LED.

Is there a new version of xbedump that I should look for?  (I have .5 BETA)  Is there
a manual way of signing habibi , and details on how to do that?  I can work a hex editor, and can
also do bitwise arithmetic (Much slower then a program, but I can do it)

I want to package the xbe on a memcard, I know I can run it on my softmodded box, but I am trying
to make the package run correctly independantly of kernel and dash version, and from what I read,
directly from the gamesave hack is the best way to do this.

Thanks for any help/direction.
