Against popular belief, including my own, i softmodded my xbox using an Action Replay memory card, and a platinum version of Splinter Cell.

The Action Replay card was supposed to corrupt the save, and the Platinum Splinter cell was supposed to be patched against the exploit.  But it worked!

I installed Evox, PBL, did ftp, ran homebrew apps like dvd2xbox, everything, and it all worked perfectly.

Maybe I'm just got lucky   One of those 1 in a million things.  I don't know.

BTW, my kernal is 5101 and dash is 5690.  Got the xbox about a little more than a year ago.

Not that I'm bragging or anything, i'm just damn suprised.  Has anyone else managed to do this?
