I just skimmed the info but it is very nicely organized and a nice clean layout. The info seems to be accurate and current which is a hard find. Nice work thanks for your contribution to the Scene.

After about 4 hours of trying different exploits from tutorials here, I saw this post, and was able to get my xbox soft-modded within 10 minutes using the link.  Thanks a TON! smile.gif

I keep finding it funny why there are tutorials needed for using ltools to install the UDE. Seems like the biggest problem is how to get the save on the xbox. Anyway the page explains one of the possibilities in a decent way I guess. Also the info seems to be correct apart from that u use the xbox versions to determine wether you should use UDE 1 or 2. This is not xbox version related but Kernel related. You mention only 1.6 users should use UDE2 which is incorrect cuz also the 5713 kernel (which is a 1.4) should use the UDE2.

Edit: Also finding out the kernel version is a hell of a lot easier then finding the xbox version through your nicely added link.

yeah well you were told wrong. You could ofcourse look in the UDE and UDE2 threads to verify my information.
Also I find using ltools pretty much self explaining but it's ofcourse good if people are helped by your tut.

how long does it take to load all the stuff onto the xbox hard drive....
I put the save game in and I  see a blinking light  after forcedeth.c: sybsystem: 00000 ...  does it take 5 or 10 mintues or is it done... I don't see anything saying it's done?
Just a sitting blinking light and solid orange LIGHT on xbox.

UPdate:
after about 8 minutes now I just get black screen... maybe times in tuturial would be good.  and what you are suppose to see on screen.

update 2:

ok ...  i saw the menu then it went to game name ... it took awhile i hit the back button and then saw the menu...   everything ok.

little panic! :?

Thats what forums like this r 4.

What i believe your problem is, is that u need the old ltools kernel. Go to xbins and in the ltools directory get the folder called "problems with v1". In there there are some files that will replace the files in your previous ltools file. There should be a text doc in the folder that tells u exactly what to do.

This just in from my web host:

100webspace.com is currently closed due to enormous damage caused by hurricane Jeanne. We experience severe power supply problems and constant connectivity problems. New signups are currently not accepted. Our technicians are working 24/7 to bring the service back. We expect everything to be back to normal in the next few days. We apologize for any inconvenience this unforeseen natural disaster may have caused.

Sincerely yours,
100webspace.com team

I found a new web host so that i can have a running site:

Your tutorial doesnt explain how to connect the xbox to PC....but anywho i was wondering if i can use USB to connect to the XBOX. My pc doesnt have a nic. But i have a dsl modem connected thru USB. i was wondering if i can use USB, or maybe connect the xbox thru the unused ethernet port thats on the modem....or do i need to dish out couple bucks for a NIC?
