Hey bubba I went through the tut step by step but I am still having trouble.  It doesn't say anything about transferring the emulators from a disc onto evox.  I have them in ISO files but I don't know how to get them to play, they show up on the menu.  I can get into the emulator but no roms show up.  I have been racking my brain at this one.

Can u be more specific for what emulators u r using. Most emulators have an option on where to find roms. Its probably best to run the games from the hard drive.

Can anyone confirm the "fail proof way" to get on Xbox Live?

The fail proof way is to use tunneling software like xbconnect. Like krayzie said if u boot the actual game disc then go online it will work. But make sure u completly shut off the xbox with the game in the dvd tray and then turn it back on. If u see and evox screen and try and play online YOU WILL GET BANNED!!!

Sweet, Xbox is up and running with EvolutionX. Good tutorial worked great for me. I used ltools and Splinter Cell. I also used a home made cable to connect my controller to my computer. Used an xbox extension cord and a usb 2.0 cable. Just twisted the wires together and taped with electrical tape- no solder.

One thing I'll add incase someone else runs into this:
When I ran the game save, it didn't go directly to the mini linux options. Instead, the screen was kind of garbled. So the first time, I pressed a button and it took me directly to the error 21 screen. So I restarted my xbox with game still in and this time i pressed right on the d-pad and it took me to the linux options.

Anyway thanks!

No the Platinum Hits AUF will not work..  Go to the xbe exploit forum and find a thread called Ma (Non-Live version) Where to buy in Australia..  This thread discusses compatible versions of all exploitable games..

I feel you should remove the games section.

All it does is provide links (torrents are still links) to pirated games.

Also the "Problematic Games"  section is useless as its the way the games have been ripped by a specific pirate group that makes them not work.  If the games are ripped properly they will work.

e.g. I have made working backups of Burnout 3 and SC 2 as im sure have many others

Yeah if there are links  to game torrents or other illegal stuff it's not allowed to link that page from here. Also there are no games that don't work with the UDE exploit. There were only like 2 games that were having problems with certain bfm bioses but that is fixed now with the new m8 bfm bios.

man, this is not working for me. k: 4817 D: 5960
I installed UDE 1, it went through the motions, told me turn my xbox off. I did so, rebooted and it goes to the MS dash. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I had no probs with the phoenix launcher, but this one is giving me fits. BTW, i used the AUF Ltools. Any help is appreciated. thanks
btw, can i gain FTP access into the box at the ltools menu? I'd like to see that the game save is properly installed. thanks again

The problematic games are the games that i have tried from various sources that i will not talk about here because its against the rules that dont work thats all it is. It explains exactly what problems "I" ran into while trying to play the game.

I have the actual splinter cell 2 game but it wont run from the disc. Why is that? I did try the torrent version that is a xbox iso. Could that have messed something up? Do i need to reset something?

Dude this forum is not intended to promote piracy. The problems you may have may be lots of things and maybe it's better to go look around in gamebackups forums or just try the search function. All of these games work fine by me and many others. Also it may be wise for you to either remove the torrents links from your site or remove the site link from this page cuz you are directing to pirated games and we don't that on these boards.

I think you should be gratefull that we warned you cuz you could have gotten banned by now. It's not like we are paranoid it's just that m$ is searchin the internet for copyrighted material so that they can threaten with lawstuits and forcing isp's to shutdown sites. It would be a shame if this site goes down cuz of people like you. Also piracy sucks it messes up the gameindustry. You should just buy your games and don't promote piracy cuz you are basically stealing from everyone.

Dear Mr. Dominguez:

I am contacting you on behalf of MS Corporation ("MS").  It has recently come to our attention that you have registered the domain name HOW2XBOX.COM, which incorporates the internationally known XBOX trademark in its entirety.  In addition, you are using an identical graphical user interface (GUI) which incorporates our MS and XBOX and X Design trademarks.  We are enclosing copies of printouts from XBOX.COM and HOW2XBOX.COM for your review.

We are pleased to see that you are supportive of MS and our XBOX gaming console.  However, trademark owners are required by law to police and enforce their trademarks against unauthorized or potentially confusing uses.  The use of our trademark in your URL and your adoption of our GUI may cause consumers to believe mistakenly that your site is developed, sponsored or endorsed by MS Corporation.  We do not permit others to use our trademarks in any manner which may imply endorsement by MS.

We have developed logos to be used by others on fan sites or other community forums and welcome you to review these guidelines at the following URL:

Please feel free to utilize one of these logos so long as you use them in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth.

We trust that our bringing these concerns to your attention will ensure that this matter can be quickly and amicably resolved.  Therefore, we kindly ask that you contact us no later than October 29, 2004 to advise us if 1) you agree to delete or unconditionally transfer the HOW2XBOX.COM domain name to MS; and 2) you agree to cease any and all unauthorized use of MS’s trademarks and will permanently refrain from such unauthorized use in the future.

Please be assured that we are not otherwise objecting to the underlying content of your website and encourage you to show your continued support of the XBOX gaming console.

As an aside, if you register a new URL to move your content onto, you may wish to ensure that your new domain registration data accurately reflects your ownership of the domain, rather than referencing Arizona State University.  We initially contacted the University to resolve this matter since they are listed as the Registrant of your current URL, but they were unfamiliar with this domain name registration.

Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.  We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very truly yours,
