wow leave the kid alone, maybe he wants to sell the chip because hes strapped for cash? Anyway get FTP acces through your modchip and a dashboard of your choice, extract UDATA and place that folder on E:\. it may say do you wish to overwrite, just click yes.  Restore your xbox to original state before you installed modchip (so it will boot to msdash) and take out modchip. Launch mechassault and run gamesave Run Linux. Follow instructions on screen.

Ive never actually had a modchip, so anyone feel free to point out errors?

im am at the part about to TRANSFER over the UDATA fodler...

thru flashftp....

my kernel is 1.00.4980.06

i am just scared to fuck things up....avalaunch is my main dash...

i just dont see a benefit to having a chip if i can have an exploit load...

how do i make it so once the exploit is loaded...i can turn on my box normally and have avalaunch load up normally....

thanks and karma to those who help..

Copying the udata folder isn't anything you gotta worry about screwing anything up.  As soon as you do that, you can run the gamesave and it will install ude..  You can choose evox or mxm as it is.. If you want avalaunch you need to replace the dash xbe in e:\dashboard.

because modchips:
Load up to the dashboard faster
Can be turned off so you can play live (most new ones)

yeah plus soft modding for someone else who really has no idea what they are doing = disaster. so installing a modchip with an on off switch would make it as easy as possible for them not to screw up.

P.S. can i have your modchip if you dont want it anymore? haha
