get ltools from the "usual places" and follow this tutorial by LostkoRn. PM him or me if you need help!

or if you already have ltools on the hard drive just follow the tutorial. Very easy and straight on!

so this ltools will work for the version of xbox I have?
Most likely yes..  Read about the package itself..  Much better to get the info you need from the root source than just jump into a tut written by a guy who just installed it himself.  The first page of LTools has all the pertinant details. Posts by others outline problems they have encountered, and ways they've fixed them.   Read that first, and make sure you understand your courses of action incase things go wrong.  A tutorial is nice to keep track of the steps during the procedure, but its not a replacement for knowing what you are doing.

You can ignore the part about gentoox..  It has nothing to do with modding your xbox..  That is just what Lost Korn tried to do after he modded his.
LTools will ask you which exploit, which bios/loader, and which dash you want.  You don't need to find anything else to get ude installed, but if you are just going to blindly follow a tut, then I hope things go as smoothly for you as they did for him..  They don't always..

yes it does, when you press install ude, it asks what kernel you have! press green button (A) for 1.0-1.5 and press blue button ( B ) for 1.6, which is the FIRST thing it asks you! and yes 1.7.5 is the latest one

that image if from LostkoRn's tut, it looks odd, because my Ltools had a black background...

thank you. Will the 1.7.5 installer do everything for me having a 1.6 xbox, or do i have to go through all the manual crap such as the nfl 2003 update? I hope not...

It'll do everything for you. (remember to choose the evox m8 bios)

And if you want to edit the bios use EVtools.
