Using A Usb Stick To Transfer Gamesave Exploits!

forthex

Oh and I forgot to mention under Splinter Cell now appears 2 "All Level Unlock" items, yes exactly same name. I guess one of these are saved game that crash XBOX (part2) or something.

Question

1. Do I need to copy this to memory along with Linux Installer ? How do I know which one of the 2 under Splinter Cell.

2. Similar to other people. I cannot see "Action Replay XBOX" in the step 2.2. Instead I have to browse to AR XBOX driver drirectory and it show XBOX MaxDrive. I guess it different version than yours. I download it from codejunkies.com. I think it is the latest. But I rather get the one you have so I can follow the tut.

Where can I get PAL version of yours ?

thank heaps!

there is a PAL version of AR. That's probably it! You guys who are having transfer problems, you might have the wrong version of the software. I mean, you might have the NTSC version, when you need the PAL version (i assume you guys live in Europe, Australia, etc.).

if you need the PAL version, go here:
http://uk.codejunkies.com/support.asp?c=GB&cr=GBP&cs=%A3&r=1&l=1

if you need the NTSC version go here:
http://us.codejunkies.com/support.asp?c=US&cr=USD&cs=$&r=0&l=1

yes, spacemaster, you must copy over both saves for the exploit to work.

I live in the NTSC area, yet it still doesn't work.  I'm using the NTSC version of MA and the game save and AR.

Hi everyone, I need your help.

I use the USB Keyboard Adapter of Phantasy Star Online and a USB memory stick.  I try two kind of memory stick.  I try the Kingston DataTraveler 256 and the Lexar JumpDrive Elite 256.  Those are supposed to be working according the compatibility list : Compatibility List

According on what I read, the xbox his supposed to recognize and format the USB stick with FATX.

My problem is when I go to the memory screen in the MS Dashboard, the entire screen start to blink with any error or format message.

What's going wrong ? It's my USB memory stick who are in problem ?

Thank you very much in advance.

the reason why the memory screen blinks is because the xbox has a problem refresshing the memory screen when you add a memory card. Pug in the card before you turn your xbox on, or when you are at the main menu.

and the error message is normal. your USB stick is PC formatted when you first get it, or if you use it on your cmputer. the error message means that the stick has been formatted by the xbox and can now be used as an xbox memory card.

Hi, forthex

Thank to answer so quickly.

Like you tell me, I tried to plug the card before turning on the xbox and also in the main menu but same thing.  The screen is always blinking.  When the screen is blinking, I receive no message from the Xbox.  Just blinking.

Is there a tool to format my USB Stick into FatX from Windows ?  Maybe it could help.

Thanks

your stick probably doesn't work with the xbox. The xbox is probably trying to format the stick, but can't and tries, over and over again.  Try using another stick, or if you can't, use a Compact flash card: I use one, and they work without a sitch.

That's the APL AR software I download from. And it does not show exactly that you got. Anyway, now after I change the YYYY and ZZZZ number in "xbreader.inf" and start AR. I've got message

XBOXPowerSave MFC Application

"XBOXPowerSave MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close sorrey for the inconvenience"

1> Any ideas!
2> Do you know a link to older PAL version of AR

spacemaster, the website won't give you the old version because they want to patch any exploits, or flaws in the software, so i would try a P2P client.

infounknow, i'm not sure. If you could do this, it might not work, becuase even though the stick would work on an FATX system, it would not have the information the xbox put on it to make it a working memory card.  it like with my 128MB CF card, it can only use 122MB, because it is PC formatted, and contains the windows XP drivers. and when i use it on the xbox, it has a storage capacity of about 7732 blocks (1000 blocks repressent about 16 MB).  so, my card is always loosing 6 MB of storage room due to formatting.

Hi forthex

However, my Kingston data traveler 256 is supposed to be working and actualy don't.  Do you think the Action Replay is a more easy solution ?

thanks

"copy the datelinfo.xbx file into the first file directory in both of the saves."

i was prepping early for the mod and noticed in ltools ma v1.7.5 there weren't two seperate folders with files. but there was a 4d530017 folder which held TitleImage.xbx, SaveImage.xbx, TitleMeta.xbx and a folder within it 4d530017 (which held a few folders and several other files). would i just insert the datalinfo.xbx into the 4d530017 folder?

for the ltools ma you can just drag the zip over to the pc database.  You do not need to put the datel info..just drag and drop the zip.
