hello, i am new here...but i have noticed from all the softmod posts that they are usually for v1.5 or less.

i was wondering if the HD upgrade tuts here can be done on a v1.6.

unfortunately i have just purchased my xbox and it is a v1.6.

any help for a newb like me is much appreciated.

i believe that as of right now, the exploits only work on 1.5 and lower. Sorry.

if you are ntsc you should be happy since there is an working UDE around for 5713+ kernels. PAL users aren't yet that lucky. They will have to stick with the new gamesave exploit that completely runs of the hd.

as of right now its kinda grab info and compile what you learned and go from there.. unless someone wants to make a kickass one for 1.6 .. if i get mine done, ill make one..

you just have to read the thread mentioned above and follow the regular UDE installation process. Note that until the pbl metoo with evox m8 bios comes out the 1.6's can only use the nkpatcher to remove the signature check.
