that's about it. make sure you have static ip turned of in the ini but i think it's off by default mostly.

you need a standard networking cable. not a crossed one

probably not but I can't tell from here. you would have to look at the ends. If the color linup is the same it's not crosses. I thought it should be like WBr/B/G/Bl/WBl/WG/WO/O

If both ends are like that it is. So your problem must lie somewhere else.

Depending on your computer, it could be that slow, but that's highly unlikely. Check this link out.
