come on guys, please try and help me, I think I have an idea to access the c drive again. If i pull the ide cable out of the xbox right before it shows the "your xbox needs service" screen, will i be able to get to C?

that happened to me, u just gotta restore the hard drive from the image of it that u made before u started messing with it....u did back it up right?

Well that was lame. No matter what you do you should always backup. This is the single most important thiings. There are countless numbers of people who screwed there xbox up because they didnt back it up first.

OK so I didn't back it up, I've learned my lesson now, but I still have all the files on MY xbox, so can I use those files on my friend's xbox?

(BTW this is the same person w/ the problem J_rock=Jaroc, I got suspended so I made a temporary one)

Well just back up your C from your Xbox and than you'll have to do the MA exploit or 007 exploit to access your friends' Xbox. Once you have FTP access you can fix everything up.

i dont have ma or 007 and i dont plan on getting/renting them, so is there any other way?

How do you plan on getting ftp access then? lol

You'll have to hotswap, then
It's easier to rent/buy MA, tho. $6-7 isn't much to use a backdoor

someone said that i probably ruined c or something so i will need to format c by using evox. But my xbox wont boot evox OR slayers for some reason, so does anyone know if there is a program i can use to format c?

i got slayers to work (I must have burned the first disk wrong) so now how do I format the c? I'm in the format menu but I don't know which option to go to.
