ok so i'm a total noob to the xbox. I'm buying my friends, he won his from someone. So first off i want to soft mod itbecause i want to play dvd-rs. i don't care about xbox live too much. Now my friend's xbox already has linux installed via the mechassualt save game exploit. But from what i've been reading they were supposed to have evolx installed too but i guess this savegame file didn't have it on there. So now i have linux installed, and i want evolx and the ability to play backups. Now can i just ftp into the xbox via linux and load the files and whatnot to make evolx installed and be able to play dvd-r's? or what's the deal here. What do i need to do next. Do i need to put another saved game exploit file on there via usb drive? I'm totally lost.
