Well, you have to hope there are English files for all the directions; then it will probably work.  If it's only JP language directions on the disc I'm pretty sure you're SOL.  Most xbox games from all regions have english and japanese from what I've been told but then again I'm not sure about that specific title.  Worst case scenario, just get the new evox dash and try it out.

Well, I tried forcing it into US NTSC by entering "game region=2" in the evox.ini but it's still showing up in JP.  Maybe I'm retarded but I have a V1.0 xbox with an xtender v1.1 chip/bios (first gen 29 wire).  Do I have to update my chip bios to take advantage of the evox game region feature?

what does configmagic report your region settings as?

yep, as long as you edited NOTHING else, then update away! wink.gif

That was WAY too easy but it worked (auto backed up and made my unlock the HD as you said)!!!  Thanks everyone for your help esp. moistness; this was bugging me for a *long* time.  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
