wink.gif Anyhoo, I got no probs. I haven't clicked the Xbox Live option, so I don't know what'd happen. I've clicked it with my network cable disconnected and it just gives me the regular troubleshooting thing. biggrin.gif

What the Linux folk mean by installing the MechInstaller is that once you've installed it, it replaces the Xbox Live option with the Linux option. Thus, you can't even activate Xbox Live. beerchug.gif lol

Quick question. According to the Xbox Linux site if you rename the dashboard file c:\xodash\update.xbe you'll get an error screen if the dash automatically tries to update through the internet. Has anyone tried to see if this also works to prevent an update with those official OXM demos?

Nope it still will update in most games the newer games all include update.xbe on them sad.gif
