Using an AR mem. card
Having Live 2.0
Trying to transfer the UDATA folder over instead of the save in .zip format (total n00bishness)
Not having the Run Linux save as the ONLY MA save on your HDD

So, when you start Mechassault, you have to go to Player Options and delete the "Mechwarrior" profile setup that's created automatically, and only have "Run Linux"? huh.gif

Has anyone found a way to use an AR mem card with this? I don't wanna buy another mem card If I don“t have to. sad.gif

How do I know If I have Live 2.0? (As a note, Live was already in the console when I bought it and I've never been in XBL)

Thanks...

Must be doing something wrong, cause the only thing that happens when I load "Run Linux" is that the screen freezes.

Downloaded the save from an "usual place", followed the tutorials to make sure the structure of the save is ok, and the AR software doesn't come with any "invalid xbox save" message.

Any ideas?

BTW, sorry, I should be posting this in the n00b forum, but it's kind of overcrowded rolleyes.gif

Yeah try deleting the extra live update you have on there

If you downloaded any live updates for MA then the exploit won't work

I've never been conected to live, so my guess is I don't have any live updates in my hdd. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The live option was already there when I bought my xbox. In the cover of Mechassault say something about free live and bla, bla, is that it? if it is, how can I delete it?. I've always thought this was for consoles without the live option in the dash.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tought this was easier. I'm seriosly thinking about a modchip, but they're not so cheap around here ($80-$100).

I'm gonna give it a last try with a M$ mem card.

Meanwhile, keep the ideas coming please. And thanks.

I had problems with the AR memory card too, bought a M$ card and everthing worked fine.  I would recommend using a M$ memory card to avoid a lot of headaches.

Just bought AR...
I get the same problem
AR software keeps telling me that its an invalid file.
Only tried it on the supplied AR cartridge.
Saves from Gamefaqs work fine don't know why this doesn't work.
Does anyone know where i can get a different version or copy
of MechAssault game hack.
It came with gouki's xbox modless archive.

Make sure you check the structure of the save game, check against other ones, AR will only take .zip that have a certain structure to them.

Ok.
That worked but i get another error now.
Mechassault says Unable to load <Run Linux>
I added the original Saveimage and titleimage from one
off of codejunkies saves to udata subfolder.
Just to match the structure.
Any suggestions.

Or try reading the tutorials, maybe the one I fuckin' wrote?

http://www.xbox-scen...-compatible.php

Your problem is most likely the Platinum or a new version of MechAssault, thats patched! You need an old (Non-bundled non-Platinum) disc for it to work.
