Not only that but the idea of killing the operation when you hit your file is quite inefficient.

 jester.gif  We are the borg....

Well I'll give you not as effecient in a time consuming way maybe but not interms of system resources or the hightened chance of things going wrong due to using external exe's

Crude but effective I think - heck one of the only solutions to Xpoops cut down batch commands I could think of for now

In the line
for %%d in (font) do (
Change the word 'font' for whatever you want to sign (i.e. audio, habibi etc)
Place this batch file and your xbedump.exe into any file structure and it will do the rest.
It will pause if it has problems with signing any xbe file and tell you where and what the xbe file was that it has problems with.

Rice maybe add it to your choice method for xp/2k users

Not too shabby, unfortunately I can't test it.

I'll add it but it'll be as-is, I don't have an XP/2K system so if I stick up what I think works it could be real shitty.

PAUSE

The bit:
SET KEY=audio
Is where the key type is defined as in habibi, font or audio

The second should be named Recurse.bat, the line:
for /R %%c in (*.xbe) do @Recurse "%%c" %KEY%
Calls the second batch file
(NB not too sure if the /R option will work in 95/98...? Rice... test would ya?)

I just couldn't get the pause command to work it kills itself and I had to eliminate the section pertaining to when it all goes wrong....

Maybe someone who has 95/98 could pick it up and improve it for the peeps with older windows versions

I don't know whether I should be offended by these statements or not...

here's the original ezxbedump:
ez-xbedump

here is the new improved version:
ezxbedump version 2

Mechinstaller-Phoenix

note*
I stole this code all by myself, I didn't have any help whatsoever.

So whats your point? You come in here, say I'm offending you, then say you 'stole code'?

Either way I still think my work is better, for newbs at least, and I did it all myself (With help from Morden).

Edit: After looking over the code I think a drag 'n drop feature would be cool. Damn though, hella-lotta stuff in that 'updated' batch file.

oblox; I'll check it out but I'm not sure if it'll work. I'll see what I can do on my 98' system if it doesn't work.

oblox; Just did a quick check and 98' supports finding files like your batch does! Unfortunately though the 'LFNFOR' command doesn't work, meaning your batch file still doesn't work. I'll modify mine though to do the "sign 'em all" thing in a minute!

* Err forget Drag 'N Drop, I can't get it working (Current directory is always 'C:\WINDOWS\Command' because of how it runs, and there's no way of finding the directory where all the crap, well, is...)

Sorry but typically this means 'bad comings'.

Eiter way I have my work set out...finding out what the hell does what in that bat file! I really don't like the idea of having to 'install' stuff so hopefully I can strip that stuff out.

'Nuff said'

Ok I didn't steal anyone's code, so thus I can do whatever the hell I want.

* Edit: Use his signer if you want shell-ability and such, but use mine for the few odd things, mainly being his you have to do some actual installing.

* Edit2: Screw it, lol, I'll just add a link for your stuff to so people got's a choice.

Yes I got it through my thick-ass head to just check the date on the posts!

Mad_Gouki is actually my inspiration. I just checked the XBE_Dump+font.rar file and it contains this: "xbedump.exe xboxdash.xbe -font".
That isn't something I'd forget, as I would never do something that stupid with xboxdash. Mad_Gouki, my appologies, it was in fact "sign xbe.bat" that was batchfile I remember seeing way back when.

I stole this code all by myself, I didn't have any help whatsoever.

All that was supposed to mean was that I wrote the whole thing, but nothing in it is actually original. Batch programming has been around for over 20 years, the only thing I did was adapt it to the needs of Xbox hackers.

For the record:
I do NOT think that Ricecake stole my code.
Ricecake and oblox should get credit for inspiring me to make version 2 what it is.
