I've had my Xbox softmodded. It worked fine but lately I'm having problems playing some of my backup games which freeze on the loading screen. I've tried all fixes to this problem posted on this forum, except setting the clock which sets itself back to 4/7/2003 at every bootup (I never pulled the plug out since I got the Softmodded box because I was stuck in a clock loop the first time I plugged it in and came out only by unplugging and plugging it back in 3 times).
I am unable to contact the guys who softmodded my Xbox, but by reading several posts I believe the solution are the Bigfonts. Here's what I got:
1.) On my c: partition there are no .xtf or .xft files
2.) In the fonts folder there are only Xbox.xft, Xbox Book.xtf, Xbox.xtf, Xbox Book.xtf files.
So my question are:
1.) Can I use the Bigfonts and how do I install them (I read somewhere that you just copy them in the fonts folder)?
2.) How much can I damage my Xbox at this point? If the Xbox totally stops booting anything is it useless or would a chip make it work again?
Sorry if these seem like stupid questions and thanks for any help.
