yea, that can be a common problem.  Make sure that after you hit "Static IP" to on, you scroll all the way to the bottom and hit "save and exit"

If none of that works try unplugging the power cable out from your router while you have the ethernet cable plugged into your xbox then plug the router power cable back in after like 2 mins. Then restart your Xbox and see if you get an IP address...

nope, didn't work for me...
i unplugged it...and still 0.0.0.0
does time have a factor?
i did it longer than 2 minutes...
but that would seem kind of dumb if it is...

*EDIT*
after messing with my router, i seemed to have fixed it

ok thx i got it to work just had to restart it.  Now my problam is getting bert+ernie to work.

I have a font folder on my C with xbox book.xtf and xbox.xtf but these files are also on my C:

so what do i do if they're in both places, do i renname all 4 to .xft and then put bert+ernie into both the C: and the fonts folder?  oh and also some tutorials say to rename bert+ernie and others say dont. what should i do?

i deleted the ones on c: and replaced the ones in the fonts folder. no warranty that it works, but id does here.
