If you can get the special save of your PC onto the xbox hdd you're ok, I'm pretty certain you need to load the save from the xbox hdd anyways, I don't think it works being loaded from a memory card. In other words, copy the 007 Save Game to your xbox using the dashboard, then load the saved game in 007 from the hard drive...easy

Done that, copied save from PC to AR mem card, then used dash to copy it to XBOX HD, load 007, load saved game, get error 21 :/

Try using a MS memory card. Worst case scenerio is borrow it from a friend just to get the save game onto your xbox. I bought mine off of ebay. I think it was about 10 including shipping. Some people haven't been able to get the AR memory card to work. I was one of those people. I tried so many different versions its not even funny. Then I read that some people were having the same problem and they recommended that you use a MS memory card. I tried it and it worked the very first time. I dont know why but it worked. Give that a try.

Luckily, I can return the AR to GAME & buy an M$ mem card, so Ill try that smile.gif

Was mainly wondering iff it  was due to me updating the dash to the latest version, so I dont go buying a mem card for nothing smile.gif

All this so I can use the Xbox as an mp3 player lol, it's not as if I ever use it for games ohmy.gif

QUOTE (fatgituk @ Dec 30 2003, 04:40 PM)
No matter what I do, I get an error 21

I have tried about 8 different versions of 007 with evox, and copied to my AR.
Copy AR save to xbox, load 007, load game, I get the error 21 screen.

I have an interact (sigh) mem card aswell, but if I try to copy the save to this POS using the AR software, it crashes - Ive also tried making a cable to connect the xbox controller to PC USB using the Xctrl driver - same happens.

One thing though, the box was updated using a live enabled game (damned kids :/), so Im not sure if its a problem with the AR mem card, Interact or the updates from Live ?

I tried putting the 007 save on the AR card, copying that to HD, then copy HD to the Interact,  then try using that dave - and it says it is an invalid save :P

Not sure what else to try, as I dont really want to buy an M$ mem card, as Ive already shelled out on an AR without realising my home made controller adaptor did the same job O_o

I have to admit, Im tempted to try hot swapping now :P

Any help appreciated :)

just a quick note..if that interact one is the same as mine (dont have it to hand). ....poundland ? ;-)

It works fine. I've used it countless times.

If you have Live 2 on the Dash then it needs to be downgraded, MS fixed the exploit.

Try starting a level on 007 first, then quit out back to the main menu, then load the save game.

Im getting somewhere tongue.gif

Evox booted from 007 after using an MS mem card.

Im just having problems gettng the installation to work now smile.gif

I can ftp fine, I had Xbox and  Xbox Book in both C: and fonts - made several backups of these
copy bert & snaffle over & rename them, copy into fonts aswell.

Copy default.xbe from free-evox into C: on xbox
Copy Skin folder to c: on xbox

reboot - error 21

DaveB : Downgrading the dash requires a hotswap though ? Kinda defeats the purpose, but if I have to do it.... the xbox isnt used at all currently, so no loss if I fry it I suppose tongue.gif

You DO NOT need to HD swap to downgrade the dash, you only need the Slayers CD.

Have you checked to see if you have Live 2 ?

If you have then YOU CAN'T use the font exploit, you have to downgrade the dash.

You only need to copy Bert and Ernie into the fonts directory not into the root. You only need to rename the existing font files in the fonts directory.

Here is the instructions I got off Morden -

---------------------------------------------
To downgrade your dash, you need to get the slayers disk. Search for a guy named slayer on this forum and follow the instructions in his sig to get the iso.

Use an xiso extractor to extract the iso to a temp folder. SimpleX and craxation will not work, try something else.

Now you need to delete some stuff on C:. Alternativly, you may just want to rename the folders and files instead of deleting them, you can delete them once you know the new one works.

Ftp into the XBox.

Delete:
C:Audio
C:Fonts
C:xodash
C:xboxdashdata.xxxxxxx
C:xboxdash.xbe
DO NOT REBOOT THE XBOX AFTER DOING THIS!

FTP the SYSTEMALLc folder from the extracted slayers to the xbox C:.

Check that all files sent correctly.

Reboot the xbox.

Then check your dash version, it should be 4920.
