I'm getting an Xbox in a week or two, so I assume it's going to be a 1.4/5 NTSC Xbox, and I'm planning on using the gamesave exploit on it to assist in soft-modding my Xbox, but I have a few questions I'd like to have answered:
1. Instead of creating a "homebrew" XB-USB adapter by splicing the cords, can't I just buy a cheap XB-USB adapter off eBay and use the AR drivers with that? I'm really not good with splicing stuff, and I've not much money to spend on trials.
2. Do third-party memory cards work for the gamesave exploit? In the latest posts I've read it seemed to be undetermined, but it looked like there were only problems with AR memory cards. Have there been anymore developments on this?
3. What combination of PBL, EvoX, and bios should I use on a newer Xbox like this one?
4. What is a "CAT5" crossover cable and can I use that type to FTP into my Xbox (I'm not very familiar with crossover cable naming conventions either)?
Thanks everyone.
