You dont even need an audio cd for the latest audio exploit, but you do have to press a sequence of buttons for it to work.

Yes you can play on live before you execute the exploit.

The font exploit allows you to launch straight into pbl and evox without pressing anything, but suffers from the clock loop if you leave your xbox unplugged.

You cannot play live with the fonts.

If you want to get really clever, you can install both and have a switch in evox to switch between them. This will give you everything. The ability to play live, have it boot straight to evox when you dont want live, and the ability to unplug the xbox without getting the loop.

I did the audio exploit a few months ago after a friend ran into the clock loop problem with his 'box. At the time, I didn't care anything about Live, but with the recent release of DDR Ultramix, I'm rethinking my stance on XBLive. Somebody told me that more recent Live games update the Live dashboard, and that the new dashboard can cause problems with the audio exploit. What's the situation with this? I mean, if push comes to shove, I'll just get rid of the exploit temporarily...or get another Xbox...but before I start messing with Live, I'd like to know what it's gonna do to my Xbox.

When you access live, it will update you to live2 and update your dash.

If you delete the xboxdash.xbe and xboxdashdata folder and replace it with the ones from dash version 4920, you will then have live2 with an exploitable dash, and it shouldnt update you anymore as you have the recent live version.

can i install evox using the audio hack

right now i installed mordens audio hack and when i do the button combo the dash reboots.
i would like to be able to install evox instead of the morden audio hack dash

Are you using 007/MA game save exploit or hotswapping?

Anyway, whichever you use, i assume youve got ftp access to your xbox.

Put the audio exploit file st.db in the music folder it goes in, then put evox files into the root of e: and rename the default.xbe to linux.xbe.

That should do it.

If you want to use phoenix bios loader so you can run games without having to sign them first, then put the pbl files in the root of e: and rename the default.xbe to linux.xbe. You will need to edit whichever bios you intend to use so it loads evox from the e: drive.

I hope this is understandable for you, theres plenty of tutorials on it.

Basically the audio exploit will load linux.xbe, so whatever prog you want to run first has to be named that and signed with te audio signiture.

i put the audio hack on the mem card and then ran the run linux in mech assault. then it pops up mxm. then i hit b then a a to install audio hack. then powered down the box. powered it up hit the button combo and the xbox just reset

Im sorry, i cant help you as im not familiar with the MA installer.

I use MA/007 to gain ftp access then install everything manually.

Sorry, maybe someone else thats familiar with the installer can help you.

Sounds to me like the installer wasnt made correctly or it isnt designed for every version of dashbord/xbox.

Will I need to re-exploit my 'box after I do that? Or...a better question...should I un-exploit my 'box before getting on Live?

ok i now tried a different mech save game with evox on it

when i look at my ip i see 0.0.0.0
so i cant ftp it. help

Un-exploit you box before updating, then replace the dash and re-exploit

ok now my xbox in evox says that it has a ip # what program should i use to ftp. i have tried to ftp wiht xbox-gamesave manager and ws_ftp. i have also tried to ping my box and nothing happens.

and also i have kenel version 1.00.3944.01
and my bios is the Original 3944
