Welcome to the club!

I followed that one as well,
and after a reboot, all I got was a flashing red light and a black screen.
Nothing happened.
I had to put in 007, start Evox and ftp a backup of my XBox HD.

Just goes to show how confusing these guides realy are.

Also it says to rename xbox.xtf and xboxbook.xtf files to: xbox.xft, and xboxbook.xft well do we rename the ones in the backup folder or the ones in the font folder?

The ones in the backup folder, I'm sure.
The new extension is so that you know it's the original ones (I think?).
So if you ever need the original ones again, they're on your XBOX.

The XBOX dashboard looks for '.xtf' extensions unless you hack it with a hex editor, so I'm pretty sure.

I just put the originals on my PC in a backup folder.

If you don't have a backup, I suggest you make one using Evox.
FTP into your XBOX and drag-and-drop your entire C: drive (on your XBOX) to some folder on your PC. It should be about 150 megs and take a minute or 5.

Simply reverse the process.
Rename all files back to their original names,
and put them back into their original folders.

That would be just those two font files.

Since you didn't delete or replace any programs, there should be no problem.
You can leave the Evox files on your HD, or delete them, it won't matter.

And when it works again, be sure to backup your HD so it won't happen again.

Motha fuggin' whoo!

I got phoenix and evox running like a baby caught on fire!
I slapped in a CDRW with Linux on it and it worked like a charm!

chillinhh, use 'this' toturial right here:
http://www.maxconsol...itemid=87#PART6

except! I didn't use the 'bigfonts' but the much better 'ernie_and_bert_reloaded.rar' ones, and since my XBOX boot even after being unplugged, I suggest you use those as well.

Follow everything else to the letter, just substitute 'ernie_and_bert_reloaded.rar' for the fonts they mention.

Next, I FTPd into my XBOX and created a folder called 'e:->apps->linux' and copied the XEBIAN cd to it.

Now everytime I wanna run Linux I choose it in the Evox apps list!

I can't believe I'm running copies now! I can finally test out OpenXDK for what it's worth and start coding some XBOX shit...

OK when it says,TRANSFER all the extracted files (from the Signed_Phoenix_Bios_Loader_V1.3.rar) to the X-Box C drive , do we put those in a folder or just in teh c drive?
