So this is what i've done:

- copied the Mad_Gouki's 007 gamesave hack to my memcard
- copied the Mad_Gouki's 007 gamesave hack to my HD
- booted the 007 AUF game from my orig. CD
- Did a "load mission" from the game menu
- selected load game from HD
- Saw evox menu
- setup IP/subnet/etc.
- FTP'd files specified in Mad_Gouki's exploit Tut.
- rebooted Xbox
- Evox booted up with no CD in drive, *good!*
- .... Now what?

what do you want to do.  load apps, homebrew games, backups (not very many fit on the original hd)
my recommendations would be to load dvdx2, xbmc, and anything else you think you might need.

"P BIOS loader tut"
and
"Xbox Dash tutorial"

JayD

Have you considered using the audio exploit?
That will allow you to boot into EvoX without loading up 007.

you dont' have to load 007 to boot evox on the soft mod, you only have to boot 007 the first time to ftp your evox files, and pbl files over.

Mad_gouki,

I'm used your tut @ http://www.sbeyer.ne...ouki/part1.html
All went apparently well. Can you explain where I need to copy the .ini to on my xbox HD? It didn't say anything in your tut about it.

At the bottom of part 5 in your tut it says after copyin bert/ernie stuff and I reboot I should get the evox screen w/out booting 007, I do. But mine doesn't look like the screen shot from your tut (http://www.sbeyer.netfirms.com/gouki/evox-piccie-1.jpg) Mine is missing the "Run DVD Games" and "Launch Menu" options. Whenever I choose "MS Dashboard" I get an error 21 as well.

I guess I need to install the PBL now ... however the first step in your tut for that says:

Mad_Gouki's Phoenix Bios Loader tutorial

ok, this is an easy one!

get the signed phoenix bios loader from etiher xbins or here, its only 1.48 megs

now, you have the signed phoenix bios loader, you need to go to the E drive and in the apps folder make a folder named something like phoenixbios or pb or whatever you want to name it.

(E/apps/phoenixbios)

-----

I don't have an "apps" dir on my E drive. Nor on any other drives on my Xbox HD. What's up with that?

Thanks everyone for any info.

Ok I've got the PBL installed .. I now bootup my xbox and I get the evox menu, with apps/phoenixbios as an option to launch. When I launch pb, the screen flashes, goes black for a minute, then goes back to evox menu eventually ... what'd i do wrong? I followed gouki's PBL howto: http://freexevoxtut.....com/index2.htm

That's what it's suposed to do.
Does your eject light stop flashing? Can you run unsigned games and apps? If so then it's working....

What did you think it would do?

I never get the "Cool looking Phoenix logo" like Gouki's howto says. But yeah the light stops flashing orange/red and goes to solid green. So I guess that mean's it's loaded?

Yep. Should be.

Install it on C like it says you can at the end of his tut. It's 100x better.
