A Few Questions About The Clock Loop
« on: October 08, 2003, 03:01:00 PM »

okay, i want to avoid getting the clock loop
i have these questions...

1. is there any specific details on how long your Xbox needs to be unplugged to get the clock loop?

2. do you need bigfonts and bert and ernie reloaded, or is bert and ernie reloaded fine by itself?

Use only one foint exploit - not both.

There is NO way to avoid the clock loop if using a font exploit

For 100% safe - use the audio exploit.

With font exploit some reboot and eventually kick over - some do not.  There is NOTHING that can be done to fix it or reboot.

I have done many xboxes - 1 failed to boot endless clock using big fonts.  I switched to bert&ernie and it loops, but kicks in after 3 restarts.  The rest I used big fonts.

Again - if you do not want it to loop - use audio exploit (also cons with this) or simply buy a mod chip.

if you get into the loop, its fucking easy to fix.

plug a patch cable into your xbox, and connect it to your pc (that should be connected to the net)
turn the xbox on, and there ya fucking go. no more looping.

That's not true. I use the font hack and I can't get mine to loop.
I use B&E reloaded and I wanted to see if it really worked. I left my box unpluged over night (about 9 hours) and it didn't loop one time. I thought it might have just not been unpluged for the time it needs to loop so about a week later I left my box unpluged for about 3 1/2 days while I was out of town.....Pluged it back in and no loop.

Weeeee. My box is imune to the clock loop hehe. That or B&E just works really well.  laugh.gif

I use bigfonts and i find that the system dosent boot normal all the time."sometimes it freezes on boot; others it reboots on bootup and then boots fine. weird shit like that".
this is prob where the loop fix comes into play whereas the xbox boots weird to avoid the loop. if it did loop, the next reboot would be different. Im always taking my box to friends houses and seems to do no harm. Im not gonna leave it unplugged though; cuz if it loops then thats a hdd remove and xlinux. well from past experience. I dont wanna do that again!

What are the cons to the audio exploit?

As far as I know the audio exploit doesn't load up to Evox on boot. You have to load it with a disk (or something like that) every time you want to use it. A lot of people like it because you used to be able to use live with it but I am pretty sure it doesn't work with 2.0.
The MA/007 hack works perfect so long as you know how to set it up right.
