ok........im using the bert an earnie form mad gouki
*stupud thing*im using xbox 2.0
im using cross over
my xbox will connect to live
my pc wil connect to internet
my xbox wont tell me its IP x.x
cant set up a ftp connection to xbox
plz help x.x
im making a new topic instead of the 1 in my profile cuz Azazel or w/e wants me to x.x

simple fix:

go out and buy a cheap router for $30.

other than that... i have no clue.

router with DHCP should do the trick ezily
but...
with an x-over, you got yo set ur comp gateway to 1, comp ip to 2, xbox gateway to 1, xbox gateway to 3, static ip and auto ip on/off on the xbox/ pc respectivly, and uhm.... save the settings on the xbox (one of the last 2 menu options)
that should work, but maybe not...

for some reason a crosswire dont work with my router o.o

yeah... x-overs don't work with routers... they all need to be patch cables.
