Is It Possible To Have The 4977 Bios

i am wondering if it is possible to have the 4977 bios with softmods, exploits, or tsop flashes?  My box was modded by a guy which my buddy knows.  he told me there was no chip in it.  he said that the evox bios is d6ef.  i am not sure what that is.  any advice? thanks
