Can you also use WinHex to copy back over to the new drive?  I'm sure that's a stupid question, but somebody had to ask biggrin.gif

Well I found a better copy of it that had all the dll files. These DLL files can't be illegal can they? Why aren't they in the zip on this site?

Anyway I think I fucked up when I was making my image. It didn't copy the 3 games I already had on there or any of my progs. Also all of the saves that were from games run off the HD turned into *unkown save* or something.
That's not so bad but I lost my Crono Triger save and I was almost done.   sad.gif

Anyway small price to pay I guess. Everything else works great and I almost have all my games on the drive.

Thanks Bad_Hex for this great tut.

Wait! I had this exact same problem.

Get the registered version of winhex and connect the original xbox harddisk AND the new harddisk for your xbox to the PC. Then start it up and load winhex.

Now just select clone drive and make sure you select the original xbox HD as the source and the new xbox harddisk as the destination.

It will take some time, but it will go OK smile.gif

After that lock the drive with the appropiate key and put it in your xbox.

And voila! All saves working fine and all the games you had at the old drive are also there!

Hddriver sucks ass, winhex is the best!

Well waaaaaayyyyyy to late for that. I already have like 30 games 4-5 emulators and a few apps on my new HD.
And I think losing my saves and stuff was user error. My image only came out to like 4gigs but at that point i was just like "fuck it I want my new HD"

hey bro, i did everything in your faq, but i must have screwed up somewhere.

first, i couldn't get to windows when i put my new hd as the primary master and my win hd as the 2ndary.

second, i couldn't lock my hd, when I used the key it says "Device is not ready" though it was lockable and i got the key correct, even tried my older key to be on the safe side. It is a lockable drive though, it reads Unlocked,Frozen, my unlockable drive literally says "Unable to lock"......SO, any advice is great
