Few things.. make sure you guys use the \ slash and not /.  Also the exact format path you should be typing in has been updated in the tutorial.  Just copy and paste the commands into your telnet's raw command box.

On your xbox tools disk there should be a file that contains the incorrect password you used to lock the drive.  You can simply use that to hdunlock and then hddisable the drive like it was the old xbox drive.  Then proceed to relock it using the correct password.

Make sure the drive is set for master and not cable select.. Other then that I can't think of what would cause that off the top of my head.

Seems stupid, but...
I've gotten all the tools, except when I downloaded Liveinfo beta 2.rar from team-assembly (the zip here on xbox-scene is corrupt) it's a 111kb rar file containing only a 2kb readme!

Since it's supposedly legit freeware, can someone point me to a valid download?

Thanks!

Try the download here again. It works now if it didn't before.

nope. Sorry, the liveinfo beta 2 zip file here on xbox-scene is reading as a corrupt/incomplete file.
Any other suggestions?
I thought it my be my system, but all my other.zip/.ace/.rar files are behaving normally.

No, it is your system. I just downloaded it again and it unzips just fine.
In it you have:
Readme.txt
Blank EEPROM.cfg
Blank V1.0 EEPROM.bin
Blank V1.1 EEPROM.bin
LiveInfo.exe

And they are all sitting on my desktop. So, sorry buddy but you are mistaken.  tongue.gif

Are you using a download manager? If you are try downloading the file without it.

No download manager. I've tried it with IE6 & Firebird 0.6 Guess I'll try at work tomorrow.

:edit:
Thanks for all the help guys (in this thread & others), I've got a working copy of liveinfo ( from one of the team-assembly guys, no less), so now that I've got all the tools, I'll be getting a 100-120 gig drive in the next couple weeks smile.gif

btw, what's the prefered tool to rip to the hdd? I've got dvd2xbox on my 8gig, but haven't really tested it. No seagate = no extra 2 gigs. Tried formatting, no dice, so we'll see later.
