Updating The Bios To 4977

You're talking about flashing your TSOP, which would be very similar to having a mod chip.  You would be able to start in EvoX without playing with any exploits.  However, if you plan on flashing your TSOP, you would be required to bridge two points on your motherboard.

Don't know about your setup since I boot off of C:, but is that 4677 bios a BFM bios?

Make sure it is.  I couldnt get a single bios to work until I was informed that only BFM bioses work.

There is a file will all the BFM bioses on #xbins.

SpetsnazC4, make sure you 4977 bios is Boot From Media (BFM) and renamed to xboxrom.bin.  next, make sure that the boot.cfg file contains all the neccessary keys (RC4 hash and EEPROM if needed).  make sure all of your phoenix files are in the E:\ root directory.  make sure evoxdash.xbe, evox.ini, and the skin folder are in your C:\ drive, because the 4977 bios (if not tampered with using XBTool) will look for evoxdash.xbe in the C:\ drive first.  evoxdash.xbe does not need to be signed, but the phoenix file (linux.xbe in your case probably) does need to be signed with the -audio key using the newest xbedump.  if you follow these steps, nothing should be wrong at all.  post back and let us know what's up.
