Well, I would also recommed boXplorer for managing your files.  You can also use it in place of xbcopy.  I like it better for those operations since it shows a progress bar.  I guess the main thing I use my box for besides xbmp is emulation.  I've had a lot of sucess with xsnes9x for snes and fceultra for nes.  Have you set up a file sharing system for your media files, etc?  I use Relax and it works great.  Can stream media off my PC so I don't have to worry about filling the harddrive.  You might want to look into trying to format the F drive to get some extra space if you have the Segate drive in your box: http://www.xbox-scen...les/formatf.php .

I really recommend Xbox Media Player (version 2.4) It has about a million capabilities. Mp3/Vcd/Avi/Divx/Jpg jus to name a few. Emulation is great too, Snes, N64 even PS One. Phoenix bios loader is a must, but you can also use different bios. Also DVD Region X is cool for running DVD's (no remote required) As mentioned, you should have boxplorer, or XBCopy, for easily putting games on your HD. And don't forget that you can put a crap-load of skins in your skins folder, and change your visuals too.

XBMP is definitly the best program made for xbox.  I would highly suggest you spend the rest of the day setting this bad-ass program up.
