I have this exact same error and no ones seems to be helping with it. More than likely there is another unknown factor in our two cases. Personally, I know I've tried about 50 times, THOROUGHLY following the tuts/guides and nothing. Even got a hacked save from someone on IRC and it didn't work.

Now I used the mechinstaller 1.0 file.   It added the linux entry on the original MS

dashboard but has some problems:

When I try to load the "minilinux" from the dashboard the screen turns black and the xbox led orange. The same with the "rescue linux" loaded in the game.

Moreover I can't rescue the original dashboard with the provided gamesave!!!

Someone can help me???

I had the same problem, turned out to be a defective action replay memory card. It would actually take the save from the computer and even copy it to the harddrive of my xbox, but would corrupt it in the process. Thus it would cause an ERROR 21 EVERY time I tried to load it.

Getting a new AR fixed me right up and it worked first try. Hope this helps as it seems there are alot of defective AR memory cards floating about.

I'm having the same problem with MA save game hack (as well as 007:AUF). My kernel is 5101. I also had a defective AR memory card but have since replaced it and continue to get Service screen with error 21. Anyone have any ideas?
