thats how u get the ms dashboard to work..... i had ur same problem for a long time but this worked for me.... good luck

EDIT: o ya and to get the skins to work u need to put a skins folder on ur c drive on the xbox HDD, that worked for me as well. and as far as XBE signing goes just use Phoenix BIOS Loader v1.3 and u wont have to worry about XBE signing at all. and to get the MS dvd player to work, just fix the ms dashboard file using the tutorial i posted above and then redirect ur evox.ini file to the new (fixed) ms dashboard

you should have put the evox.ini from freexevox into your c drive if u wanted the menu w/ all the shit
