Mega X-key What If
« on: August 20, 2003, 06:02:00 PM »

yep... put it back in the xbox, an d it'll format it back to fatx.  X-box won't always recognise other brands of memory keys.... (i'm still hopeless finding one that works and don't wanna have to buy a mega x/AR key...

no problem formatting tho, as long as xbox can read it now, it can format it later

If you're still in the thread stick around I JUST found some faq a while ago that tells of one brand that works.  Will post it in a minute.

Mega X-key What If

QUOTE
we know that the FMI (Fujitsu) brand of 32MB USB flash memory drive, available at most CompUSA stores, works great, while the “Universal Smart Drive” model by K&C Technologies does not.

I found this at the following link:

With this in mind though, I would wonder why you'd wana do it?  The Mega X-Key is cheap.  Now, if you find a working 64 meg or 128 meg card, please post your results.  That would be pretty darn cool especially when you factor in the PC Flash Drive capability.

can u buy the mega-x key in stores? (or only online)  I'd rather not buy online.  Thanx for the info, I already made the adaptor and I'm gonna head out to compusa to get the 16M card (heard it works fine, and is only $10!)  thanx for the help!

p.s.  i noticed the mega-x-key is $20 pus shipping...  I'll try the compusa key.
