You want a 1mb BFM bios (boot from media), you'll find the EvoX one on the usual sources.

I haven't tested it much, but I dont think you need a different RC4... but not sure, will check later.

I've set up EvoX as an alternate Bios (booting with the tray out as you said) and as described in the readme.

I recommend XBTool to configure the Bios to your requirements.

Woohoo ... Got it working.

I found a bunch of a file with a bunch of BFM bioses and they work!!!

Finally got the D6_EF BFM Bios!!  Now Enter the Matrix works!

One thing I did find out is that even the 256k BFM work.

I have the D6 as the primary boot bios and the 4977 as the Alternative
boot bios.

Just another comment.  Using XBTool, it would not recognize the BFM
bioses.  It always says OPEN FAILED SEE LOGFILE FOR INFO.

Well at least I'm running now....YEEHAW

THANKS FOR THE INFO

If XBTool isnt working it probably means you havent set the EEPROM keys in the XBTool ini files. You can use the keys that you'll find in your Phoeenix boot.cfg.

Good to hear you got it working!

Have you found any problems with the EvoX BFM bios?

So far so good with all my games.

Havent run across a single game yet that won't play with the D6 Bios.
It is really nice being able to switch between the bios files.
I have heard there is a program out there that will let you choose the bios
files in a menuing system.  I'm gonna check that out later.

PS... What format does the RC4 have to be in to work in XBTool?
I just copied over whats in the Phoenix boot.cfg file and it still errors
out.

Thanks

I kind of did something like that...only I have Phoenix in two loacations on my HD, and I have the Evox bios in one, and in the other directory, I have the 4977. So, if a game gives me trouble with the 4977 (rarely do) then I just go to the other shortcut in my Evox Dash and switch to D6! Just make two folders on C, and put Phoenix in each of them. It's really easy. I also added a small touch......When I load the D6 Bios, I have the boot.cfg file set to turn the led red by backspacing the 'gggg' out in the cfg, and replacing it with 'rrrr'. This way I just look at the led to see what bios are currently loaded. Try it that way, I think you will like it!

Hmmm good information.

So did you just edit the EVOX.ini file?  Or is something through Phoenix.

I found a program called LoaderConfig, but it is pretty sparse on info.

Any chance I could see what your evox.ini looks like and your boot.cfg?

Thanks
