Well, I just bought Platinum version 1448521 from Wal-Mart, and it will not work.

I'll try to rent the non-Platinum tomorrow and see if I have any luck.

Well, I just bought a used copy of the original version and it works perfectly. I booted into Evox on my box (I only bought the game so I could flash boxes for my friends) and used WS_FTP Pro to check out the different versions of the game. This is where it got interesting. After looking at the properties of the D: drive, both versions were the same size, 1,678,429 KB (1,718,711,109 Bytes). But the original had 318 files and 81 folders, whereas the Platinum had 318 files and only 56 folders. So this proves that the Platinum version (or my copy at least) is NOT exactly the same as the original, as some people have claimed. If anyone who has a Platinum version that works can check out the properties and let me know how many folders the disc has, this might be beneficial to some people.

i have used the platinum one and it worked, i used it wit the mordens audio hack installer, the only thin i needed to do was click start mission and started it, then as soon as it started quit to main menu, then just load the save and it worked. so i dunno, it must be sumthing wit the save itself. i dont have the game right now but next time i get it from my friend ill check the folders

I just bought platinum 007 and it doesn't work with to game save. There goes $20. I bought it just for the hack.

number on DVD: 1448527

I think if the number ends with 7 the hack wont work.

I have Platinum hits and it won't work for me either. I copied the mordens audio hack thing to my xbox through ftp (my box is modded) and then copied to my memory card (so I can mod other xboxs). Went into AUF, started a mission, quit mission. At the main menu I went to load mission, from xbox...and it just says unable to load. Am I skipping something somewhere or what? I'm getting pissed lol.

On my case i have the 1448521 version but on cd it says 1448527.

I guess I am among the laundry list of suckers who bought this game only for the expliot just to find that the POS gives an "unable to load saved mission" message.

1. to start a game first, THEN load the save???
2. to delete all the other saves of this game?

Its true, there is a NEWER version of the disc! My friend bought one that doesnt work, and mine does!

The number on his DVD is 1448527

1. So what? That may be the CAUSE of you having to start a game first, cause there are versions where you don't have to do it...

1. So what? That may be the CAUSE of you having to start a game first, cause there are versions where you don't have to do it...

What sort of proof would you like? I'm a 31 year old man with a triple digit IQ and a capacity for learning that is greater than the general populace. What are you, a 12 year old prepubescent boy who thinks that he knows everything? I am smart enough to realize that I may be wrong about some things, but in this case I know that I am right. If you would like to have an intellectual battle of sorts, let me know and we can find a trivia channel on IRC or some other way for me to put you in your place.
