is the default.xbe signed?

and also make sure that the save is on the hardrive..and load it from there on the game not the mem card.

I have downloaded the files once again and tried them and I still get the same results. I have not signed any xbe's cause according to mad's tutorial you don't do that untill you have FTP'ed into your xbox harddrive. I am getting the screen upon the initial load of the saved game. I have tried the saves for 007 and MA. The LED flashes like the tutorial says, but instead of evox loading up I get the "Your xbox requires service" screen everytime.

ANYONE with any suggestions PLEASE HELP!!!!

same here dude! im gettting the same shit.. but i didnt try to sign the xbe yet.

i would assume that its already signed.

I've also had the same problem on 5 different downloads.

What method of moving the files is everyone using? I'm using an Action Replay.

just try to sign it if NOTHING else..or make sure you built the file right

Downladed the files again, followed Mad's tutorial step by step, again. This time I signed the default.xbe and still no results. I have heard of some people having problems with AR which I am also using. Could this possibly be a source of my problem???

I'm thinking it is, Buzz.

Although all the tutorials say AR, I don't think I've found someone who has actually used a Datel Action Replay for the hack. Most people have the Mega X-Key. Anyone out there successful with the Action Replay?

use an xbox brand memory card. i did.and it works fine. go too my tutorial. the no mega x-key or AR tutorial

i use 007 all the time.

when it goes black that means its working

then leds go orange and some noises and its done

Can it work after the screen of death comes up? When it goes black on my box, the LEDs flash red and green while the ERROR 21 is up. I don't think that means that it's working.

Also, how do I sign the files in a gamesave if that's what's causing the error? I can't believe that I downloaded 5 different copies (including one sent from a board member that worked on his system) and they all wouldn't have been signed already, but I'll try anything.

I read somewhere in the forums that their was issues with the AR, and that you could make the exploit work by editing the AR config.ini Does anyone have info. on this???

I'm also using AR, it's not working for me either. Could it be possible that my xbox is too new? I just purchased it a week ago and it has a May 2003 manufacturing date. Appreciate any help! Thanks

I'm also having the same problem. I have a launch v1.0 box with action replay and I'm using MechAssault. I've used Gouki's and a few others but still no luck - just the service message.
