You are going to have to elaborate on your problem. I don't think upgrading to another menu would help per say. I do recommend MXM but have you tried enabling autolaunch games in your evox ini file?

Have you tryd copying your game(s) over to the HD & play then that way ? Dashes only "open" your box to run unsigned code that the M$ dash won't due , it has nothing to do /w game playing (correct me if I'm wrong).

Recheck your games and if it still does this I'm afraid you have a MUCH BIGGER PROB.  sad.gif (maybe DVD Rom drive)

BJ ,, You might want to put this thread in the help forum section .

Well, I'm waiting for him to explain exactly what his situation is.

Sounds like he's maybe not running a modchip (using the exploits), which there is a known issue with some exploit configs that originals do not play.

We need more info...

Are you using a modchip? If so, which one?
If not, this is an exploit issue.

iam using the 007 exploit

AutoLaunchGames   = Yes
AutoLaunchDVD   = Yes
AutoLaunchAudio   = Yes

ok now i used to be able to run orignals using this exploit
now i cant.

Before what i did is i put the game in and restarted xbox and it did not go to the EvolutionX it just loaded the game perfectly

Now i put the game in and it goes to EvolutionX and it says DVD game and it  goes to the loading screen  after a few secounds i get that black screen error "you xbox needs service"

Yes i have copyed one game over and it works perfectly

OK, I'll move this thread to the Game Exploits forum. Perhaps they can help you out there... I'll change the title a bit as well.

Follow this first this was made by:Rickster

1) Copy xboxdash.xbe from your xbox to your computer
2) Open it in a hex editor

3) Go to line 00046A8. On the right you should see x.t.f
4) Change to x.f.t
5) Go to line 00046E0. On the right you should see x.t.f
6) Change to x.f.t
7) Go to line 000A758. On the right you should see x.t.f
8) Change to x.f.t
9) Go to line 000A7E4. On the right you should see x.t.f
10) Change to x.f.t

11) Save the file
12) Run the file through xbedump and patch with -font
13) Rename out.xbe to newdash.xbe (or whatever you want)
14) Upload newdash.xbe to your C Drive on Xbox

15) Find your backed up old Xbox.xtf and XBox Book.xtf and rename them to Xbox.xft and XBox Book.xft and place them in your C:fonts folder and your C: folder.

16) Open evox.ini
17) Look for lines

#AudioPlayer = "c:xboxdash.xbe"
MSDashBoard = "c:xboxdash.xbe"

18) Change to

#AudioPlayer = "c:newdash.xbe"
MSDashBoard = "c:newdash.xbe"

(There are backslahes after the colons)

And there you go.

Note: When signing the xboxdash.xbe  file change to default.xbe and then run it though patch with -font
and after that change the out.xbe file to newdash.xbe

Now go to the msdash board and go to the clock and reset it then reboot
next go to evo setteing and make it look like this

Auto llaunch games - NO
Auto launch dvd - no
then save and exit and now reboot when u get to the evo menu put in a game and reboot and every thing should work fine
