i left the xbox unplugged today for a copule hours while my little cousin and his friend mucked about with the gamecube.

first let me give my details about my xbox.....v1.0 running evox after using the auf trick to run evox and XBMP....

now when i turn it on, the dashboard tries to goto the "set your date and time" but freaks out and restarts in an attept to load the evox (i assume)

how can i get out of this killer loop?  i cant play anything or run my homebrew apps and i can't ftp into the system because it keeps restarting

please any help would be greatly accepted.....

I know nothing about the types of files, but you were supposed to add a certain file that automatically Changed the Date/Time to July 4th 12:00 or somthing everytime you turned on your 'box, that way this wouldn't happen. Check the news for it! I'm not positive how to fix the problem I just know you were supposed to update that certain file!

Boot up your machine, and put in a disk, if it plays your xbox game, GOOD, eject the game, you should be in evox, patch the file through evox and you should be good. I'm not positive where you can obtain this hack though.

dosent boot up at all...i went to pop in simspons road rage and alas, i get the restart-hell....no evox, no ms dash....restarting and restarting and restarting.

oh yea...when i went through the tutorial the july 4th file wasnt available =/

can I assume im sol unless i get this thing modded?

Will Simpsons play at all?? Or does it restart even with the simpsons?

Tip: Leave the xbox resetting itself for about 2 hours or so I think!!! It will then eventually go into Evox if I remeber correctly!
Then you can FTP and put on reloaded!

nothing boots up at all

no simspons road rage won't boot (my fiancee and i picked it up while we went out to lunch today only to come home to this problem)

as far as the "leave it on for 2 hours" goes, i may try that tonight if i cant find another solution other than modding

if needbe i will get a mod but id rather try something i can do now as opposed to sending it off

it takes 20 minutes for evox to boot up from the restart bug....i was letting it run [was watching tv, had the xbox going on my input channel] when i looked up and  saw the colors changing on the xbox (green-orange-red indicating evox was running)

some numbers from my notes i was taking...

it takes 6 seconds for the xbox to restart completly with this bug

10 times a minute

it takes the xbox 200 times restarting for evox to kick back in over top of this bug....

ok i have the bert and ernie reloaded what to i rename ernie.xtf to?

the original bert and ernie rar didnt have an ernie file...it had bert.xtf, default.xbe and snuffleupagus.xtf

im assuming ernie.xtf is a replacement for snuffleupagus.xtf but i dont want to fork anything up....
