Ive got all the colors hooked up right (excet yellow of course).  Im wondering a couple things.  There are a bunch of wires that are weaved together in both the xbox controller cord and the usb cord, do i need to connect those?

ALso Ive been trying to install the drivers but when pointing to the file i get an error similar to "The specified file does not contain information about your hardware".  What should i do?  Im using the drivers from www.codeunderground.com

Thanks!!!

QUOTE (SteveOA @ Aug 23 2003, 05:24 AM)
Help someone please.  Alright, I have an interact flash memory card for the xbox and I did the usb attach thing.  So far so good.  I put it in to my control when I was done to see if it worked and it did.  So i saved a game from the xbox to the card.  That also worked just fine.  I loaded up action replay(the software) it shows the save there so i transfer that from the card to the computer, no problem there.  But where I am having a hard time is transfering stuff from the computer to the card.  I transfer something and it shows it transfering just fine and it shows it on my card but once I unplug it from the computer and back to the xbox control it is no longer there, it just disappears.  so I try it again, the computer shows it there I unplug the card but this time I plug it back in to the computer and it disappears again.  So is showing that its transfering but it really isn't.  any help? unsure.gif

did anyone else have this problem?

geir earlier in this topic it has stuff  for i believe the interact cards that your supposed to add to one of the inf files. and its supposed to make everything work.

I have edited the .inf file and the mem-card is found. I can transfer save-games from the xbox to the pc, but not the other way.

who are you talking to? me?

EDIT: Im not sure if this is the best place to ask, but does anyone know exactly what the yellow wire does? I just want to make sure its not super important for something. I thought it was like an extra power wire, but ive heard that its used for light guns/racing wheels, which makes me think its a data wire.

I have edited the .inf file and the mem-card is found. I can transfer save-games from the xbox to the pc, but not the other way.

I have, like many others it seems, bought the crappy InterAct card that is almost unwritable.  (Actually I did manage to change the name of it with the AR program just now, but copying saved games to it almost always causes a crash, either directly or after a few seconds.  In any case, nothing shows up afterwards, except for some space missing.)

Very annoying this, and perhaps easiest solved by getting another (ridiculously expensive) memory card.  But since I won't be able to buy one before Monday anyway, I can just as well look closer at it.

There are some parameters in the registry.  Most are set by xbreader.inf, but some are not defined there.  Could somebody with a working card please export and post the branch (see below)?  Also, the output from USBview.exe might also be interesting, from a working InterAct card or any working card at all.

Here follows data for a non-working InterAct card.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but using the USB addition mod to a controller, is it possible to use Action Replay's game card to transfer the files to my XBox?  Has anyone tried it?

I have a question. If you touch the wires while they're plugged into the USB port, could you get seriously hurt from the shock? Is it a strong enough shock to hurt you, or is it just a small shock?
