« Reply #180 on: August 08, 2003, 03:10:00 PM »

I have this memory card:

I have no problem getting the save files on it. My problem is that once i try to load them up in the game( and i've tried a couple different files) i get a "cannot load save" message.

can anybody help me out?

I'm going to be egocentrical and assume you were asking me that, vintage guitar.

I'm trying to get roster files for NCAA 2004 to load up.

BTW, they aren't hacked or anything. it's just a roster file for the game that a friend sent me. I tried to load it up, but it said it could not load it. then i tried getting one of from AR community, but i got the same message with that file.

I'm sorry. I don't quite know what you mean. If you mean to play the game and try to load up the save file, then yeah that's what I am doing and that's where i get the "cannot load file" message.

If you meant something else, then could you please explain. Thanks for the responses though.

Note: although i originally tried with a zipped file that Fairdale sent to me, and i have no idea why that did not work. I do now know why that AR file that i downloaded didn't work. It's a damaged save. i'll try to download another roster file and try once more.

no, i have a store-baught copy of the game. my problem is in trying to get AR save files to work on my cheap memory card(it's the cheapest one on Lik-sang.com).

I always get a message saying, "unable to load save file from hard disk" when i try to load the saves in the game.

QUOTE (TreFacTor @ Aug 7 2003, 09:02 PM)
I could never get the action replay, to work on my comp. Now I know that it is just the software, because I still can't copy to it using the software and my new xbox to(usb) pc gamepad in either of my usb ports. tried the mega-x key software just for kicks and it won't install properly, because 2 files won't copy during installation. gonna try one last thing(another comp). everything went fine during installation of the xbox controller, but the software just won't allow me to copy a file to the memory card. "ERROR Writing SAVE".....any suggestions?

have you made the zip file correctly? try re-making it

it's not just the 007 hack that doesn't copy over, it's any of the game saves. it's just that the datel software won't work with my comp or 2 other comps that i have tried.

Mine: 333 mhz pentium class
         256mb ram
         windows 2000 pro
tried both front and rear usb ports

I got the same error from the original action replay that i get from my homemade action replay.

"error writting save".... any other suggestions?

I'm using a Madcatz memory card and controller, and with the help of this tutorial I am now able to run the Action Replay software and see my memory card and controller in Windows XP.   HOWEVER, the Action Replay software seems to be hung - it enumerates the game saves on my memory card, but they are dimmed and I cannot click on nor drag them.  When I click the EXIT button, it says "There is currently 1 active operation in progress".  It is using near 100% of my cpu and I have to kill the process in order to exit.

Is this possibly a case similar to the Interact memory card where a line needs to be added to the xbreader.inf file?  Has anyone else experienced this?

FYI, I am using USB 2.0 ports (have tried primary port on back and secondary header port on front).

I suppose I'll see if gamestop has a used M$ brand memory card to try .. . .. .
