that usb mod is a good idea but not as practical as just soldering 2 wires together

It's nice just to plug a memory card int a usb port instead of dragging your controller in.

Good work X-JET MS really should have somehow encoded their standard controllers and memory cards not to work on PC's lol

Kinda... I would agree at the current time that the exploit method is a bit tedious... compared to flashing your TSOP.

BUT

You can do this method and not void your warranty

lol my ps2 had disk read errors, ihad even opened it and repaired the lens, and they didnt care, i lost the void sticker, and that was like last year, looks like walmart doesn't seem to care

Yep thats the site i was looking at, but i cant find the Xbox software there. All i found was XPortWebInstaller.exe which seems to be PS2 software? in any case it doesnt contain the xbox .exe that you refer to
