ok, i dont have a fonts folder on my c: drive already, so i made one and tossed good old bert and snuffle into it.  Now here is what i want to know

1. Do I put the xbox.xtf and xboxbook.xtf into the font folder
2. For the Peonix version of the exploit do i put bert and snuffle into the fonts folder.
3. Do I need to rename the default.xbe folder to xboxdash.xbe
4. Would it work if I took a diffrent app/game and tossed them into the 007 save folder on my hd if i just want to open thoese?

Shakaru, you *really* don't want to read up do you?... but I'm feeling generous so...

Firstly, you don't have a fonts folder becasue you have an older version of dashboard. That is fine. Making a subfolder called /fonts will not help because your old version does not know to look there for it. You should have noticed that the two font files are already located in the root folder c:. But you'd know all this if you read even ONE tutorial.

A1. No - you rename the damn things GEEEEZZZZ! have you not read a single tutorial?

A2. If you have 4290 dash YES, if you have an older dash NO...Basically if there was a fonts folder put them there, if not, they belong in the root.

Q3. Do I need to rename the default.xbe folder to xboxdash.xbe
A3. No, you need to have your original MS xboxdash.xbe as it was. And I mean no EVox simply renamed xboxdash.xbe. Leave the default.xbe as it is.

This takes the cake for stupidity. The fucking info for the files you used explicitly say it's only compatible with the version of the MS dash that has the Live tab and uses the fonts folder.

I gotta quit helping around here, this is starting to make me feel like the world sucks and is full of fuckheads who can't even tie their own shoes.
